Reuters reports British Prime Minister Theresa May's office said Wednesday that May is disappointed by the resignation of Andrea Leadsom. A Downing Street spokesman said, “Andrea Leadsom has served with distinction and great ability as a member of the government... We are disappointed that she has chosen to resign, and the prime minister remains focused on delivering the Brexit people voted for.” Leadsom resigned over her personal disappointment in how the Brexit negotiations were going. May unveiled a new deal earlier this week in another attempt to compromise with the Labour party.
